The Benefits of a Rebuilt Seamer
The seamer is one of the most important machines in a cannery or beverage facility. We go as far as to call the seamer the heart of the line, since a stoppage or breakdown of this important machine means the entire line has to be shut down. And we all know what an un-programmed shutdown means: not just loss of production, but even worse, loss of revenue.
Given the importance of this unit, it critical that plants conduct regular maintenance service as instructed by the original manufacturers suggested schedule. But unfortunately, tight production schedules and sometimes limited budgets can prevent a company from giving this important machine its required maintenance. This can be a recipe for disaster.
Even though your machine may receive the suggested manufacturer's regular maintenance, internal parts that are never changed begin to wear. Eventually, the machine losses its maximum production capability and the production curve begins to diminish.
But fortunately, we are here to help. We can take your unit, perform a full rebuild, and bring it back to it's original condition; just like when you purchased it from the OEM. Our expertise in the industry allows us to provide you, our valuable customer, with a one year parts warranty. This is unmatched by any other rebuilding service in the industry. Please read on to learn about our rebuild process, our warranty information, and seamer exchange service.
Our Seamer Rebuild Process
Our seamer rebuild process consists of five major steps. These are described in the following outline:
1. The first step of our seamer rebuild process is to fully dismantle the seamer and inspect all internal parts (i.e. gears, bearings, etc.). These are analyzed for wear and tear, and any item that appears to be questionable is replaced.
2. We then prepare the casting by removing all paint, filling any holes, and preparing the machine for painting. We then assemble the machine. New accessories such as dog chains, pulleys, motor, and seaming rolls and chucks are added to the machine.
3. The unit is then sent to the paint shop, where it is painted with the color you have specified.
4. After the unit is painted, we add any optional equipment (i.e. stainless steel safety enclosure, control panel).
5. In the fifth and final step, the unit is fully tested to make sure that the unit will work perfectly upon the arrival to your plant.
All of our seamers include a one year warranty. We also offer a seamer exchange program, to help you eliminate costly down time.
